Mendes will be playing a variety of genres of Jewish music: traditional, pop, religious and especially Israeli artists.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Mendes was a volunteer at the Isaac Waldman Jewish Public Library. For a couple of years, as a child, he lived on Kibbutz Gesher Haziv and Kibbutz Dorot. He spent another year in Israel when he was 17, he recently visited there and will be traveling to the country again next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m completely in awe of Alan\u2019s dedication to bringing us this great show of Jewish music every week for the last 34 years,\u201d said Mendes. \u201cThe man deserves a star on a walk of fame.
