The JCC Jewish Book Festival event is sponsored by the Ronald S. Roadburg Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Keret, who also teaches creative writing at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, is known for writing short stories that are lean and accessible in style, but whimsical, surrealist and darkly funny in subject. His work explores life\u2019s smallest, most unremarkable interactions in ways that are profound and unusual, and his\u00a0seventh story collection, Autocorrect: Stories (translated by Jessica Cohen and Sondra Silverston), is no different \u2013 it is vast in reach yet grounded in the bewildering absurdity of modern life. Books will be available for purchase at the Oct. 30 event and the author will be signing.
