In <em>O My God<\/em> by Israeli playwright Anat Gov, God walks into a therapist\u2019s office suffering from depression. The therapist asks, \u201cHow long have you felt this way?\u201d God says, \u201cTwo thousand, five hundred years. Give or take.\u201d \u201cYou\u2019ve been depressed for 2,000 years and only now you\u2019ve come to therapy? What were you waiting for?\u201d asks the therapist. And God says, \u201cI thought time would heal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gov, who died of cancer at 58, was born in 1953, and was a graduate of Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. She was briefly a student in Tel Aviv University\u2019s theatre department \u2013 she dropped out to become a successful playwright and television writer.
