Zelda Dean directs the Victoria production, which opened May 9 at Congregation Emanu-El\u2019s Black Box Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>The story details the phenomenon of the \u201csandwich generation\u201d \u2013 adults caring for both children and aging parents \u2013 through the lens of one family\u2019s momentous year. Rosie, a daughter with mother issues, surprises her parents with a trip home. And life surprises Rosie. Sanity, survival and humour are tested and love is deepened in this three-generation family, and chosen family, comedy.<\/p>\n<p><em>We Are the Levinsons<\/em> will be performed May 12, 3 p.m.; May 14-16, 7:30 p.m.; May 19, 3 p.m.; and May 23, 7:30 p.m., at Congregation Emanu-El, in Victoria.
