{"id":26025,"date":"2017-09-22T03:51:22","date_gmt":"2017-09-22T10:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jewishindependent.ca\/?p=26025"},"modified":"2017-09-21T15:21:13","modified_gmt":"2017-09-21T22:21:13","slug":"marking-memorials-30th-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jewishindependent.ca\/index.php\/2017\/09\/22\/marking-memorials-30th-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Marking memorial\u2019s 30th year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>On Sunday, Sept. 24, 11 a.m., at Schara Tzedeck Cemetery in New Westminster, the annual High Holidays Cemetery Service, presented by the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre, Congregation Schara Tzedeck and the Jewish War Veterans, will mark the 30th anniversary of the Holocaust Memorial.\u00a0On April 26, 1987, 1,300 numbers of the community, including Holocaust survivors and their families, attended the unveiling of the memorial, on which more than 900 names of family members who perished during the Holocaust were inscribed.
